Spent a good day at the London Boat Show. Useful discussion with Garmin on the new 750s chart plotter. A potential new toy for the boat.

Successful completion of the Arc after 26 days and over 3,200 nautical miles of sailing across the Atlantic. It was an excellent adventure full of exhilarating challenges.

Shore Based Courses
Basic Navigation and Safety (2 Days)
This is a new course which develops knowledge of navigation beyond what would be achieved on the power boat level 2 courses. It is aimed to people who are new to the recreational industry or those who currently have experience. click here to learn more...

VHF/SRC (1 Day)
The Short Range Certificate (SRC) VHF is an internationally recognised qualification which authorises the holder to operate VHF radio equipment which may be fitted upon their vessels. At least one person on board must hold this certificate as it is an ideal means of communication for safety. Those wishing to do the Advanced Course must hold this and it is strongly recommended for the Intermediate and Safety boat Course or those wishing to become an instructor in sailing or power boating. click here to learn more...
Sea Survival (1 Day)
Safety would be the key word in this course, the course that is an enjoyable day where you spend half the day in the classroom learning and discussing aspects of safety and the safety equipment you can have on board a vessel. The other half of the day is applying it in a swimming pool experimenting with survival techniques and use of a life raft.
